St. Anthony Village High School Named One of Best Schools in America

St. Anthony Village High School has been named one of the best schools in America in the US News and World Report.

The school was ranked third in the state. The committee looked at schools that serve students well, use state proficiency standards as benchmarks, and prepare students for college-level work.

Committee Seeks Input on St. Anthony-New Brighton School Calendar Dates

Families in the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District can now choose which school calendar schedule they prefer.

The Calendar Committee is asking for input on the 2014-2015 school year calendar. Families can choose between three options offered on the district website and then select the one they like best through an online survey.

North Suburban Communications Commission to Award Scholarships

College students in the North Metro can now apply for communications scholarships through the North Suburban Communications Commission.

The commission is awarding scholarships to residents in Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville, St. Anthony and Shoreview.

No Fees During MN College Application Week

High school students may have a chance to apply to college for free this week.

Nov. 12-16 is Minnesota College Application Week, a time devoted to informing local students about the application process. More than 100 high schools around the state will help students complete and submit online applications to various colleges and universities.
