Commercial Contest Aims to Reduce Teen Driving Deaths

Every year, about 6,000 teenagers are killed because of distracted or impaired driving. You can help reduce that number by creating a short commercial promoting safe driving.

A recent report shows that the Ramsey County Environmental Response Fund has created 4,370 permanent jobs and 1,154 new housing units.

Ramsey County Hosts Auction of St. Paul Home

Ramsey County will be hosting an auction of tax-forfeited land in February.

Tax-forfeited land means that real estate taxes were not paid on the property and the title was instead given to the State of Minnesota. The properties not acquired by Ramsey County are then available for sale through a public auction.

The Three Rivers Parks District wants you to enjoy nature with your valentine.  It's offering several events in the coming weeks in honor of Valentines Day.

At Richardson Nature Center in Bloomington, there will be candlelight, chocolate and acoustic music.  At Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista, visitors can take a sleigh ride through the pastures. 

St. Paul's 2012 Park Permit Lottery is Tuesday

The St. Paul Parks Permit Office will hold a permit lottery Tuesday morning at 6 a.m. Any resident or business wanting to participate in the lottery must register and be present at the office on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Where to Dump Your Christmas Tree after the Holidays

City officials are offering options for residents to dump Christmas trees at the end of the holiday season.

The free Midway-area Ramsey County Yard Waste Site is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15.

St. Paul Libraries Closed Today

All St. Paul Public Libraries are closed today. The online services will be unavailable as well. The Library's network and data center servers will be shut down to connect with the back-up power generator. The operation will be complete by Saturday, November 12th.
