Police Investigate Apparent Murder-Suicide in St. Anthony

Police in the Twin Cities suburb of St. Anthony say a man fatally shot his wife and wounded their son before turning the gun on himself.

Officers were called to the couple's residence about 8:30 p.m. Monday.  Police say the 52-year-old man fatally shot his 45-year-old wife outside the residence before taking his own life.

St. Paul police have cited a man accused of repeatedly throwing his wife's tiny dog against a parked car.

Police found the woman cradling the apparently unconscious 4-pound Yorkshire terrier in her arms Friday. A veterinarian says the dog, Bentley, is expected to recover.

A St. Paul woman has been charged with two counts of second degree assault after an altercation with her upstairs neighbor.

According to the criminal complaint, 46-year-old Debbie Ann Tucker confronted her neighbor on Wednesday, April 18, because the neighbor’s 2-year-olds were running around the house and making noise.

Man Charged for Stealing Copper Wire From Light Rail Site

Authorities say a man who admitted to cutting copper wire at a light rail construction site caused thousands of dollars in damage.

St. Paul police located 60-year-old Brian John Peterson early Wednesday morning near University Avenue and Berry Street after a caller reported seeing someone cutting something at a light rail station under construction nearby.
